How to Use Quick Menu from Back Office

For managers and administrators who arrange the categories, subcategories, and items shown in a location's SalsaPOS menu.

Purpose

Use Quick Menu to build and arrange a location's menu, preview its tablet and handheld layouts, edit category and item settings, assign inventory labels, and save the completed structure.

Before You Start

Part 1: Open the Quick Menu

  1. In the Back Office navigation drawer, expand Manage Menus, then select Quick Menu. Back Office Manage Menus navigation with Quick Menu highlighted
  2. Review the Quick Menu workspace. Categories are the main rows, subcategories are nested below them, and items appear inside a category or subcategory. Use the arrows beside a row to expand or collapse its contents. Quick Menu workspace with categories, subcategories, and items
  3. Open the location selector at the top and choose the location you want to edit. Search when the list is long. Confirm the selected location before changing anything. Quick Menu location selector open

Part 2: Preview the Menu Layout

  1. Select Preview Menu to inspect the menu without leaving the Quick Menu workspace. Preview Menu button highlighted in Quick Menu
  2. Select Tablet to check how categories, subcategories, and items are arranged on a wider screen. Confirm that important choices are easy to find and that names fit their tiles. Quick Menu tablet preview
  3. Select Handheld to check the compact layout. Review the category list and the items shown for the selected category. Close the preview when finished. Quick Menu handheld preview

Part 3: Add and Arrange Menu Content

  1. Select + Category to add a category. The new block includes editable placeholders for a category, a subcategory, and items. Replace the placeholder names and remove any rows you do not need. New Quick Menu category block with category, subcategory, and item placeholders
