How to Use the Online Ordering Website
Purpose
Use this guide to place an order from a restaurant's Salsa online ordering link or QR code. It covers location selection, menu navigation, item customization, offers, checkout, card and gift-card payment, and order tracking.
Before You Start
- Open the online ordering link or scan the QR code supplied by the restaurant.
- Use a reliable internet connection and have the delivery area or restaurant ZIP code available.
- Have an accepted credit/debit card, supported digital wallet, or valid Salsa gift card ready.
- Menu items, order types, offers, tips, loyalty, receipts, and payment methods vary by location.
Part 1: Choose a Location and Browse the Menu
-
On Available Locations, enter a ZIP code to narrow the list when needed. Review each restaurant name and address, then select Order Now for the location that should receive the order.
-
Confirm the selected location and address at the top of the menu. Choose the required order type, such as Dine-in or Takeaway. Browse the category list, select a subcategory, search by item name, or scroll through the visible items.
-
Use the numbered overview and the table below to identify the main menu controls.
Numbered Menu Controls
| Number | Control | How to Use It |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Current location | Check the restaurant name and address before ordering. Open the arrow when you need to review or change the location. |
| 2 | Menu search | Enter all or part of an item name to find it without browsing every category. |
| 3 | Order type | Choose an available service type, such as Dine-in or Takeaway, before checkout. |
| 4 | Cart and profile | Select View Cart to review the order. Use the profile icon to sign in or manage the customer account when needed. |
| 5 | Categories | Select a broad menu group, such as Appetizers, Burgers, or Pizza. |
| 6 | Subcategories | Choose a smaller group inside the selected category to jump directly to matching items. |
| 7 | Item information | Open the information icon to review the item's details, sizes, modifiers, calories, and offers when available. |
| 8 | Add to Cart | Select the button to open customization or add the item, depending on its available choices. |
| 9 | Item image | Use the image to identify the item. The name and listed price are the values to confirm before adding it. |
Part 2: Review, Customize, and Add Items
-
Open an item's details. Review its name, base price, calorie information, available sizes, modifiers/add-ons, and any offer message. Select a size when required, then select Add to Cart.
-
If View Cart is selected before an item is added, the website displays Your Cart is Empty. Select Explore menu or Back to Menu, then add at least one item.
-
On Customization Option, complete the item setup:
- Use the minus and plus controls to set the quantity.
- Select the required size. A check mark identifies the current selection.
- Choose optional add-ons and review any additional prices.
- Complete every group marked Required.
- Review the amount shown on Add to Cart, then select it. Use Back to Menu to cancel without adding the current setup.
-
Open View Cart and review the complete checkout page:
- Confirm Takeaway or Dine-in under Select Order Type.
- Check each item, size, additional notes, customization, quantity, and price.
- Use minus or plus to change quantity, or select Customize to edit the item's choices.
- Enter an Order Note only when the restaurant needs an instruction that is not already covered by the item choices.
- Review Subtotal, taxes or charges, and the amount on Pay.
Part 3: Apply an Offer and Choose Checkout Access
-
To use a promotion, select Apply Offer. Read each offer's name and conditions, then select Apply Now on an eligible discount or combo. Close the window with × when no offer should be applied, and check the checkout totals after making a selection.
-
Select Pay. When the Guest Checkout window appears, choose one route:
- Google: continue with a Google account.
- As Guest: continue without creating an account.
- Email and Password: sign in to an existing account. Use Forgot password? if needed.
- Create an account: select the link at the bottom and complete the registration prompts.
Account is optional: Customers can use As Guest when they do not need account or loyalty features.
Part 4: Pay for the Order
-
On Payment, compare the subtotal, charges, and total with the checkout amount. Then choose one available payment route:
- Gift Card: enter the gift-card number and select Submit.
- Credit/Debit Card: select Pay Now.
-
When Add Tip appears, select one of the displayed percentages, choose Custom Tip, or select No Tip. Verify the amount on the Pay button before continuing.
Option A: Credit/Debit Card or Digital Wallet
-
On the secure payment page, select Google Pay or Apple Pay when it is available on the current device and browser. Otherwise, enter the required card number, expiry date, CVV, cardholder name, email, and phone details, then select the Pay button once.
Keep payment details private: Never share a card number, CVV, password, or gift-card number in order notes or with an unknown person.
Option B: Gift Card
-
After a valid gift-card number is submitted, confirm that the correct gift card appears. Enter the amount to use under Add Custom Amount, then select Apply. Use Remove Card only when a different payment method or gift card should be used. Follow the website prompt for any balance that remains after the gift-card amount is applied.
Part 5: Confirm and Track the Order
- Wait for both Payment successful and Your order is confirmed. Do not place the order again if these messages appear.
- Save the order number shown beside Order Status. Follow its progress through Received, Accepted, Prepared, and Completed.
- Use Get Receipt when a receipt is needed. Select Call Outlet to contact the restaurant about this order, or Reorder to start another order based on the previous selection.
-
Review Order Details for the placed time, completion information, payment ID, and payment method.
Expected Result
The website confirms the payment and order, displays an order number, and provides live status steps so the customer can follow the order from receipt through completion.
Troubleshooting
- No location appears: Check the ZIP code and ordering link. The required location may be outside the search area, closed for online ordering, or temporarily unavailable.
- An item cannot be added: Complete every size or modifier group marked Required, then try Add to Cart again.
- An offer does not apply: Read its conditions and confirm the cart contains the required eligible items and quantities.
- Login fails: Use Forgot password?, continue with Google, or select As Guest.
- A payment method is missing: The restaurant has not enabled that method for this location. Use one of the displayed choices or contact the outlet.
- A gift card is rejected: Re-enter the number, confirm that the card is valid and has an available balance, and restore the internet connection before retrying.
- Card payment fails or remains pending: Check the required fields and card issuer response. Before trying again, confirm that no success message, receipt, or order number was created.
- Order status does not change: Keep the order number and use Call Outlet to ask the restaurant for an update.
Common Questions
- Must I create an account? No. Select As Guest when account features are not needed.
- Can I edit an item from the cart? Yes. Use Customize for its choices or the minus and plus controls for quantity before payment.
- Why do order types, tips, offers, or payment choices differ by location? Each restaurant location controls which online ordering options it provides.
- Can a gift card pay part of the order? The displayed gift-card flow provides Add Custom Amount. Apply the permitted amount, then follow the website prompt for any remaining balance.
