How to Configure and Test Printers

For managers or authorized staff who need receipts and kitchen tickets to print from Salsa POS.

Purpose

Use this tutorial to find a printer, save it as a main or kitchen printer, choose paper size, and print a test receipt before using it during service.

Before You Start

Configure a Printer

  1. Open the printer configuration screen from the POS management or settings area.
  2. Select the connection type: Bluetooth, WIFI, USB, or DEFAULT when that option is available on the device.
  3. If you select WIFI, choose Quick first. Use FULL only when Quick does not find the printer.
  4. Tap Discover.
  5. When Select a Device appears, select the correct printer from the list. The selected device address appears under Last Selected Devices.
  6. Choose Main Printer for customer receipts or Kitchen Printer for kitchen tickets.
  7. For a kitchen printer, choose the correct kitchen tag when needed, such as Pizza Kitchen, Burger Kitchen, or Common Kitchen.
  8. Choose the paper size: 79mm or 58mm.
  9. Tap Save.

Test the Printer

  1. After saving the printer, tap Print Main Receipt to test customer receipt printing.
  2. Tap Print Kitchen Receipt to test kitchen ticket printing.
  3. Check that the test print is readable, uses the expected paper width, and prints on the correct physical printer.
  4. If the print fails, use Retry after checking the printer, or Cancel to stop that print job.

Expected Result

The printer is saved with the selected role and paper size. Main receipts print from main printers, and kitchen tickets print from kitchen printers or kitchen tags during normal order workflows.

Notes

No printer screenshots were added. A connected iMin D1 was available on July 2, 2026, but the printer setup activity was not exported for direct ADB capture, and no existing printer screenshots were available under the POS manual assets folder. The entry path to the printer configuration screen should be verified by a product owner or QA user.
